I’ve been playing with Joost for about 24 hours now. I think this might be the next killer-app. I just spent an hour or so watching a blazing fast, high-end sports cars take on one of the most deadly roads in England. Great stuff.
If you have been living in outer-space, here a bit on what Joost is about:
Joost is a new way of watching TV on the internet. With Joost, you get all the things you love about TV, including a high-quality full-screen picture, hundreds of full-length shows and easy channel-flipping. (Joost.com)
What I Like
- The interface is slick
- The idea is just freaking cool.
- The Widgets
- Instant Messaging built-in (great for us multi-taskers)
- Channel Chat - talk about what you are watching
- Many more, plus more coming
- Well, everyone wants it and I got it
(That’s always fun)
What I Don’t Like
- First, it’s still Beta, so things will change
- More Channels (I really want to watch the Soccer Network)
- I wasn’t completely impressed with the quality in full-screen mode (could be my laptop’s graphics card)
What’s Coming to Joost
- Users can create content
- Users can create their own widgets
- More Channels
