My daughter, 4, desperately needed a Webkinz on the "everybody at school has one. EVERYBODY!" argument. When I asked her why they were special she said, "Because they have a *W* on them" like it was something mystical. Of course we got her one, and her sister (2yrs old). We went online to register them, and got the adoption certificates, but they're still way too young to fully understand any of the games or the money management that goes with the online community. Now she just wants more. "Well my friend at school has *3* WebKinz, Daddy, and I love my Yorkie, and if I got another WebKinz I would get the bear....." Oy.
