What are these crazy boxes?

They are called Semacode Tags. Move your mouse cursor over each to see what they represent. Each picture has a URL to parts of my website embedded within. You might recongnize this type of code from a package you have gotten from UPS or FedEx.

What can I do with them?

With a picture phone and the Semacode software installed you can take a “picture” of the Semacode Tag and it will take you to the specific website the picture represents.

Why does this matter?

Well, for now, the application of Semacode tags is not widespread - that will soon change. Semacodes will start popping up everywhere. Next time you seen an advertisment for something, say at the mall on a billboard, look for the Semacode tag. If it is there, you can take a picture of it and you phone will automatically direct you to the proper site, provided you have the software installed. This software will become standard on most phones in the near future.
