Quick Tip from jemmille

I like to save money. Honestly, I like save money on one thing and use it as an excuse to spend my “savings” on something else.

One thing I hate spending money on…computer/TV cables.

6 Foot VGA/SVGA cable at Best Buy – $34.95

6 Foot VGA/SVGA cable at local computer store – $9.95

Luckily I didn’t learn this the hard way. This goes for any kind of cable you might need: USB, Firewire, Component, HDMI, etc. Best Buy, CompUSA, Office Depot and all other “big box” retailers make a fortune on cables. Buy smart. Pay a small markup from a distributor in your local area or shop online if you can wait.

www.monoprice.com and www.cables.com have cheap, quality cables.

As I finish writing this I realize how much it sounds like a sales pitch. It’s not.
