So maybe you have messed around with Linux; maybe you have even thought about making it your primary operating system.  There are books and online documents that will explain in great detail how to install and configure any Linux version or application that runs upon it.
I have been given a challenge of sorts and I through this challenge I came across something I wanted to share with my readers.  It is called Linux from Scratch.  Simply put, Linux from Scratch is just what the name says; building a customized Linux distribution straight from the source code.

I have decided to take this challenge.  I was told I should, with my current experience, be able to complete the project in 1 or 2 caffeine fueled weekends.  It will probably take me a bit longer since I have a family I can not neglect for that long of a stretch, but none-the-less, I will begin work on it promptly and report the details back to you.
